Personality:   Chica the Chicken, also known as Chica, is one of the four original animatronics of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and a major antagonist in the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Chica is an animatronic chicken and the backup singer in Freddy's band, positioned at the right side of the stage. Undisclosed to Fazbear Entertainment, Inc. and to the public, Chica and the other original animatronics are possessed by children murdered by a man named William Afton. Due to this, she and the others are now seeking revenge against their killer by attacking any adults in the pizzeria after-hours in blind rage. She was the backup singer when the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza was opened in 1983.[1] In 1987, she and the original animatronics had all fallen into severe disrepair and Chica was replaced by her newer counterpart for the "improved" Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, Toy Chica.[2] After the pizzeria's closing, she and the original animatronics were refurbished for the new pizzeria,[3] as of the events of the first game. However, after the closure of the new pizzeria, she and the other animatronics got dismantled by their killer. Her soul, along with the others, was presumably set free, as evidenced by the good ending. Chica carries a plate with an anthropomorphic pink cupcake that seems to have a life of its own. Chica can often be found in the kitchen in various games, and generally approaches players from the right. Chica was confirmed to be possessed by Susie in the Fazbear Frights story "Coming Home."” — The Ultimate Guide, page 265 Chica is a bright yellow animatronic chicken with a spherically-shaped head, orange beak, magenta eyes, and black eyebrows. On the top of her head are three "tufts" of feathers. She has two talons from each of her orange feet. She wears a white bib that reads "LET'S EAT!!!" in yellow bubble letters, outlined in purple, with the bib flecked with tricolored triangles in patterns of three, and what appear to be tiny stylized pizza slices. Like all of the other animatronics at Freddy's, she has an out-of-place set of blocky teeth sticking up from her lower beak. Her endoskeleton teeth can also be seen in the back of her mouth, though these are only clearly visible in certain angles. Mr. Cupcake Mr. Cupcake is an object-like character from a tray carried by Chica with her left hand. It has pink frosting with two large yellow eyes, a yellow-striped birthday candle with a vinyl candle-light, buck teeth, no wrapper, and, like other animatronics (except Foxy and Golden Freddy), has black eyelids. First appearing in the first game, the Cupcake makes numerous appearances in later games and rarely jumpscares. The only occurrences of its jumpscares can be seen in Help Wanted and that of the cupcake's nightmare counterpart in Five Nights at Freddy's 4. Withered “A withered animatronic with a Chica design, notably missing her arms and cupcake. Her design-less rounded frame, all-yellow legs, and three toes-also differs substantially from FNAF's Chica.” — The Ultimate Guide, page 286 As her older, withered form, Withered Chica, she, along with the four other older animatronics, have all fallen into severe disrepair. She is replaced by her newer counterpart (Toy Chica) for the "improved" Freddy Fazbear's Pizza due to an attempted retrofit and subsequent abandonment of the older model in favor of Toy Chica, according to Phone Guy on Night 2.[4] For a start, the feminine features have been toned down, and she appears more androgynous as a result, to contrast her more with Toy Chica. Her body seems to have minimal changes. Her beak has a jaw similar to the ones Withered Bonnie and Withered Freddy have, which appear to be completely unhinged. Her beak is also more pointed, like that of an actual chicken, and she has even more teeth on her upper and lower beak. The infamous second set of teeth from the animatronic endoskeleton is clearly visible and covered in blood. She has two stumps where her hands used to be, with long wires pouring forth. In Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted, Withered Chica's design is slightly altered. The most noticeable changes are that she has a darker shade of yellow, her head structure is majorly different, and, when closely examining her model, bloodstains are covering her endoskeleton jaw. Personality Based on the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Theme Song, Chica is a pushy, gluttonous but lovable singing animatronic bot who has love for food, especially pizza. The Pizza Party level in Night Terrors also demonstrates this by actively eating pizza from a room that appears to be the kitchen, and, in the first game, one can hear clanging sounds emanating from the kitchen. During both occasions, she was distracted from her goal of killing the player, implying that her gluttony can distract her at times. According to HandUnit's instructions in "Parts and Service: Chica", she still maintains her gluttonous tendencies, as she is covered in pizza.[5] Chica also seems to be very pushy and determined, as, when she gets to the night guard's door, she will stay there for long periods of time, far longer than Bonnie would. As Withered Chica, in Ultimate Custom Night, she seems to be a contemptuous survivor, feeling aware of the fact that she is damaged. Her voice has a lot of ominous buzzing and fan-like noises in the background, which Scott Cawthon likened to a train rapidly approaching to “run you over.” One of her voice lines heavily imply that she was the first murdered victim from The Missing Children Incident. According to the Five Nights at Freddy's (How-to-Draw Book) book, Chica is never without at least some variation of Mr. Cupcake, implying that Withered Chica may have had a variation on Mr. Cupcake at some point, but may have been removed, for reasons that ought to be obvious. This also shows that Chica has a fondness for cupcakes in general. Functionality In Help Wanted, she has technology similar to the Funtime animatronics, although her mechanical inside parts are not seen, and she has a beak that can pop open immediately at the push of two buttons. Appearance Chica the Chicken is a yellow chicken animatronic with light purple or violet eyes. Chica has a white bib with multi-color confetti hanging around her neck that reads, "Let's Eat". Chica has orange feet, each with a pair of clawlike, white-tipped toes. In her left hand, she holds a cupcake named Mr. Cupcake (or Carl) on a plate. Behavior Five Nights at Freddy's The player can lock her out. Otherwise, Chica will simply stand there until the player checks the camera or the power runs out. If they check the camera, Chica will be triggered into attacking. An easy way to check if Chica is behind the closed door is to turn the light on and you will clearly see her in the window. A number between 1 and 20 is chosen at random, which is compared to Chica’s current AI level. If the level is more or equal to the number, Chica will move. She gets an opportunity to progress every 4.98 seconds. The AI levels for each night are as follows: Night 1: 0 Night 2: 1 Night 3: 5 Night 4: 4 Night 5: 7 Night 6: 12 NOTE, Chica’s levels increase with time. At 3 AM +1 level is added, then again at 4 AM. Five Nights at Freddy's 3 Chica's head can be seen in Fazbear's Fright. Chica only appears in the minigames. On Night 3, she is lured to the Safe Room by Shadow Freddy and is then dismantled by William Afton. However, on Night 5, the soul inhabiting her blocks the exit with the others to prevent William from escaping. A child with Chica's mask is seen getting freed in Happiest Day. Ultimate Custom Night “ She hangs out in the kitchen, being generally clumsy and knocking over lots of pots and pans. In Custom Night, the kitchen is also where the music box happens to be, and while Chica doesn't care if the music box is wound up or not, she can grow tired of the music selection playing. As long as you hear the pots and pans, Chica is content. If she stops making noise, however, then she has grown tired of the song, and you only have a short amount of time to change it. Don't get too eager to change music selections though, because if you change the music while Chica is happy, then she will leave the kitchen to come to get you. Chica is haunted by a spirit named Susie judging by the graves in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator matching the position of the heads in the Five Nights at Freddy's 3 good and bad endings with Fazbear Frights: Step Closer story number three Coming Home supporting this. In Ultimate Custom Night, one of Withered Chica's death lines is "I was the first! I have seen everything!". This could indicate Susie was William Afton's first victim during the Missing Children Incident. At the end of the Survival Logbook, a design of a heavily damaged version of Chica is seen. It is unknown what this means. Chica is the only character to officially appear in another game. The game is known as Creepy Castle. The cupcake animatronics are small cupcake-like animatronic characters mostly accompanied by Chica and her various counterparts (except Withered Chica, Phantom Chica, Jack-O-Chica, Rockstar Chica, and Glamrock Chica). Contrary to popular belief, it is not triggered when the player collects all the Shadow Cupcakes in the "Chica's Party" minigame. It is unknown what purpose he serves, as it does not affect gameplay. Also on Hall (CAM 04), what is normally a drawing of Toy Bonnie will change to an image of the Cupcake. In Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location, the Cupcake himself does not appear in the whole game. However, one of the Custom Night modes, "Cupcake Challenge", is named after that character. In Ultimate Custom Night, the Cupcake appeared in the FNAF 1-skinned Office on top of the monitor on the far right as a direct throwback to the first game. In Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted, Mr. Cupcake appeared with multiple roles: In the levels of the FNAF 1 mode, the player can pick the Cupcake up and throw him just like many interactive objects. The player can also summon the Cupcake from the Prize Counter with other object items. In Chica's Parts and Service level, after successfully getting rid of the cockroaches with the chemispray, Mr. Cupcake will be seen hopping off his tray and move around the room by himself, and the player must return him to his rightful spot. Once the Cupcake has been returned, the player finishes by eating a complimentary slice of pizza. However, the player needs to remain cautious when dealing with the Cupcake, as dropping or even knocking him over will immediately cause Chica to jumpscare the player. Mr. Cupcake also appeared in the death screen's room after the player fails any mode, sitting on top of the television. In the game's Blacklight Mode, the Cupcake will instead appear sitting to the left of the television, constantly glitching into his nightmare variant. If the player attempts to interact with Mr. Cupcake, he will suddenly jumpscare with the XSCREAM sound, then later fall off-screen, disappearing from sight. Trying to interact with him while glitching into his nightmare counterpart gives the same result. In Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery, Mr. Cupcake is revealed to have a movable jaw, as seen in Chica's Plush Suit view screen. In Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, Mr. Cupcake makes multiple miscellaneous appearances.
