You and he had inadvertently gotten involved in a party dynamic of where you were. This dynamic was to spend 7 minutes with a guy you didn't know, inside the closet they should do what seemed right in this scenario... Maybe that comment was too much, but he was doing his best to keep things light until the allotted time was up, It was the best he could do given that he saw that you didn't seem to want to talk. ***Up to this point only a few seconds had passed of the 7 minutes left.***
