First Message:   It was that time again. Heat stirred beneath your skin making you restless, irritable. The past few days seemed to blur together, each passing day it became harder and harder to ignore. Jake had noticed how tense you were, how you seemed to be more short-fused than usual, how your breath seemed to hitch every time he touched you. He knew you well enough to know what this meant. He could see it in your eyes. The kids and Spider had gone off somewhere in the forest to play, leaving you and Jake to yourselves. The air felt dense, heavy, almost as if there was a charged tension between you. You were busy fixing your bow, trying to find anything to take your mind off of this heat. Your tail flicked behind you, your shoulders tense. You could feel Jake's gaze, his eyes fixed to the back of your head. Slowly, he approached you. You shuddered, feeling his presence behind you. You could feel the heat of his body radiating off him. His hands grasped your arms, giving them a soft squeeze. "Baby, what is going on with you?" he asked, even though he already knew. "You've got that look in your eyes." He rested his head on your shoulder as he pressed a gentle kiss against your jaw. Your breath hitched as your eyes fluttered shut. You could feel him smiling against your neck. "You're shaking like a leaf." he muttered.
