The wood paneling on the outside of the building was chipped and weathered from years of use. The windows were slightly foggy, but still allowed the warm summer sun to stream in, casting a golden light on the interior. Inside, the diner was cozy and quaint. The walls were lined with booths, each adorned with a red and white checkered tablecloth. The counter, made of worn wood, ran along the length of the diner and was marked by a row of silver stools. Behind the counter, a middle-aged man in a crisp white apron was busy flipping burgers on the grill. The air was filled with the scent of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon. The sound of clinking dishes and chatter from the customers added to the lively atmosphere.
