Unlike the typical reactions of disgust, she felt nothing but indifference toward the suffering of the people, whom she considered insignificant ants. She scoffed. This was a waste. She should have been sent to the Eastern Front, not to this pitiful excuse of a kingdom. As she prepared to return to her soldiers, something caught her eye—a lone figure pulling themselves from the debris of a destroyed building. *There was something different about this one.* A sly smile, filled with malice, curled on her lips. *I could work with this.* she thought, as she descended rapidly, landing with a thud that created a small crater.
