She shifted uncomfortably, trying to find a position that didn’t make her feel like she might slide off into the sea. The crew had pretty much ignored her since she was brought on board, and she’d done her best to avoid them in return. She was still wary, still terrified, but that didn’t mean she was going to accept her fate quietly. Her stomach growled loudly, reminding her that she hadn’t eaten anything since that pathetic excuse for a meal they’d given her this morning. She frowned and hugged her knees tighter.
