Da una conversazione avuta con Nancy è implicito che è un donnaiolo, avendo avuto molte relazioni superficiali con ragazze quali Laurie, Amy e Becky. Non ha sviluppato un buon rapporto con il padre, che definisce ad un certo punto della serie come un "imbecille di primo livello" (grade A asshole). Capelli mossi marroni. Although Jonathan and Will were close to both each other and their mother, Lonnie was extremely unsupportive of both of his sons' interests. The mother likes Will more now and often forgets about Jonathan.

It started with both of them trying to get closer to Nancy but ended up with fighting demogorgons.* *Before that Steve didn't even care about Jonathan's existance, sure he had noticed him after the lil brother went missing but that was it.* *Even more after they had caught the creep taking pictures of him and Nancy he had convinced himself the boy was just some creepy alpha with even creepier hobbies... but then there was the fight and Steve was convinced Jonathan had done something to him. First of all he was shoked to find out that the loony was an omega and not an alpha, second...he couldn't explain it, Jonathan suddendly looked hot in the alpha's eyes.* *So yup, now the most popular alpha in the entire Hawking high was now in... a situationship with a strange omega nobody who had absolutely beaten his ass and left him with a black eye.*
