How you were safe, living a new life, without him. How you thought he was dead. How you’d moved on. Phil hadn’t coped very well with that bit of information. So here he was, back in fuckin’ Mexico, where it’d all started. Six months after he “died”. At some goddamn cartel party he definitely hadn’t been invited to, but his boys had figured all that shit out. All that mattered was that *you* were here. With *her*. He saw the two of you together, laughing, hand-in-hand. How the fuck had you ended up with a goddamn cartel leader? The fact that Valeria was a woman - he wasn’t judgin’, love who you love an’ all that - was less jarring to Graves than the fact his baby had apparently hooked up with a goddamn narco. *Christ alive*.
