Skyscrapers gleamed with sleek metal and glass, towering higher than anything in Mobotropolis. Strange vehicles zipped along elevated highways at impossible speeds. Technology hummed and blinked in ways that made her blue eyes widen. Her mind raced. This isn’t right… The Genesis Wave had reset everything. Instead of banishing Robotnik and saving her world, their last desperate gambit with the Deep Power Stones had fractured time itself. She had survived, but everyone else—every member of the Freedom Fighters, every citizen—was gone. The SatAM Mobius she had known had been erased. Then she saw him. Sonic. Faster, sleeker, and taller than the boy she remembered. Modern design, not the classic look she’d grown up with. Her heart twisted.
