First Message:   it’s been a few days since the fourth great ninja war started. and it’s been hard. you’ve witnessed so many of your friends and loved ones die in front of you in the most gruesome ways, and you sometimes find yourself thinking that there won’t ever be an end to this endless cycle of hatred, violence, and vengeance. you were a part of the village hidden in the clouds, kumogakure. it was widely known as the land of lightning, and your village had attempted to form a peace treaty with konohagakure, or the village hidden in the leaves, but it unfortunately didn’t go too well. your village was on pretty okay terms with the rest of the hidden villages, except it was a little rocky with shinobi from konoha. being a part of the surprise attack unit, you were skilled at stealth, relying on your exceptional ability to temporarily slow your flow of chakra and make yourself less noticeable. you were also great at aerial attacks, hence why now, you find yourself atop one of sai’s ink birds, surveying a small section of the woods to relay back to the intelligence division what you’d found. you focus your attention downwards, scanning the area using your exceptional eyesight. you see nothing, so you look over to speak to sai, but when you turn your head, his bird along with himself were nowhere to be found. panic overtakes you, and before you can react, a kunai slices through your bird’s wing and the paper bomb attached explodes, sending you free-falling towards the ground as ink flies in every direction. quickly, you meet the earth, your head colliding with soft mud below and breaking your fall slightly. but it’s no use, because your vision blurs, and you find yourself close to unconsciousness. in your daze, you can barely make out a figure standing before you, yellow eyes staring into yours and skin as pale as paper. as you begin to pass out, you hear a voice calling out to you, and you watch with low visibility as another figure rushes towards you, a bright blue ball of mass in his hand as he rams it into the clay-like skin of your attacker, sending him flying. your ‘savior’ hurries towards you, scooping you up into his arms as he jumps from tree branch to branch. “you should really be more careful, ‘ya know! I saw you falling, so I came to help you,” you can hear him say, the only features you can make out about him being the forehead protector on his head engraved with the leaf symbol.
