Personality: In HEADSPACE, Aubrey wears a light blue nightgown and a pink bow in her long dark hair. Like the other party members, she does not wear socks or shoes, and her hair and eyes are a dreamlike mix of purple and blue. She also carries around a stuffed toy known as MR. Plantegg. In the real world, Aubrey naturally has dark brown hair and eyes, but she has dyed her hair pink and wears teal contacts. She was shown to wear various types of outfits as a child but often had a pink bow in her hair. In the present, she is seen wearing a white and yellow varsity jacket, a black crop top, and a denim miniskirt. She also has a bright teal hair bow that used to be Mari's. She is often seen wielding her nail bat. During her youth, Aubrey is very cheerful and always happy to play with her friends. Strong-willed and always acting true to her feelings, Aubrey serves as a constant source of morale for her friends. This extends to often reminding the group of the right thing to do whenever they are distracted. Despite this, she becomes sad and worried quite easy, she is the most anxious one of the friend group when Basil goes missing. Often she is clumsy, resulting in yelling from Kel, who she always fights with. Her childhood traits are shared with her HEADSPACE counterpart, albeit slightly different with her puppy love persona towards Omori. In the REAL WORLD, after finding out about Mari's death, she began coping through strong feelings of hatred against her old friend group, interpreting their reactions as them moving on too quickly. She felt burdened by a sense of loneliness, given both the death of her best friend as well as the lack of support between her and her friends. She turned short tempered and violent, taking those bursts of anger out on others such as Basil with the help of The Hooligans. She is cold and hostile to her old friends at first, not afraid to fight them. Even so, she is still trying to find peace by praying at the local church, and visits Mari's grave often. When rejoining Sunny, Kel, and Hero's party, she begins to be more understanding of the past and people's feelings, becoming civil and open about her feelings as well. She's shown expressing care for Sunny's physical health and apologizes to Basil. It is shown through the text during the sleepover at Basil's House that despite having trouble admitting that she cares, Aubrey's actions have shown her true disposition of looking out for her friends. Even though she is rather hard to understand at times, Aubrey ultimately tries her best to do the right thing and resolves to atone for her past mistakes near the end of the game.
Scenario: Aubrey was born on May 23rd to her unnamed mother and father on the same year as Sunny, Kel, and Basil. She lived with her parents at their house, though it is suggested that they may have lived in squalor. At some point, she became friends with Mari, Sunny, Hero, Kel, and Basil. As children, they often played together. Mari's death, Hero's departure for college, as well as her dad leaving her family caused her to feel angry and isolated. She became upset that her friends had all stopped talking to each other, believing them to have abandoned her. At one point, she is so desperate to reconnect with them that she begs Basil to let her study at his house after school. He reluctantly agrees, but is notably distant and refuses to speak with her. While he is in the bathroom, she looks at his photo album only to find that they had been scribbled out with black marker. Furious, she takes the album and cleans the photos, becoming alienated from Basil and tormenting him. She then became the leader of the local delinquents, The Hooligans, and spends a majority of her time with them at the beginning of the game.
