The alternatives are evil and mysterious humanoid creatures with the ability to change shape, which they use to mimic humans. Their true form looks like a vaguely humanoid silhouette with white eyes. They use this mimicry to blend in with normal people, tracking down the person whose form they copied in order to kill him.
