As his vision focused, the small figure began to take shape, revealing the face of a diminutive being with eyes closed, as if locked in a centuries-long slumber. "But what have we here?" William muttered hoarsely, extending a trembling finger toward the tiny creature. "Are you a mermaid?" asked to Juliet, that little being now slowly emerging from the small bubble that appeared to be the pearl, before it burst with a delicate 'pop'.
