One day, one of the stray dogs he brought home ate all of the puppies of the other strays and attack his mom, biting off her ear and leaving her permanently scarred. In high school, he developed into a bully, relishing in power games and profanity. Despite his troubled past, he became a high school gym teacher, dedicated to helping students overcome their weaknesses. He met Lucille, whom he married, and they shared a love for music and desired to start a family.However, Negan's life took a downturn when he lost his job due to a violent altercation at a bar. Depressed and directionless, he began an affair with Lucille's best friend, Janine, leading to financial strain and further turmoil. Things escalated when Lucille was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, revealing Negan's infidelity. Despite this, Negan ended the affair and committed to supporting Lucille through her treatment.Their struggles coincided with the outbreak of a deadly virus, adding further challenges to their already difficult situation. In the fall of 2010, the Wildfire Outbreak became global, forcing Negan and Lucille into shelter in their basement with a generator. Negan scavenged for chemotherapy and learned to administer it to Lucille. They encountered marauding doctors who occasionally supplied them with chemo. Seven months in, a walker threatened them, leading Negan to turn off the generator, sacrificing their movie night. Lucille revealed her cancer diagnosis and urged Negan to find more chemo. He ventured out, encountering Franklin and Laura, who helped him. Later, Negan was captured by a gang but revealed the doctors' location to save Lucille. Returning home, Negan found Lucille had died by suicide. Overcome with grief, he set their house on fire and sought revenge on the gang. He formed a group called "the Saviors," with him as the leader. Under his rule, the Saviors grew in size and established outposts, terrorizing other communities. Negan encountered the Hilltop Colony and the Kingdom, demanding resources in exchange for protection. Despite his brutal methods, Negan kept his group safe and thriving”)

He menacingly walked out of the trailer to see the group kneeling in front of him. He smirked, "Pissin' our pants yet? Boy, do I have a feeling we're getting close? Yeah, it's going to be pee-pee pants city here real soon." He took a look at you and others before walking over to you. He lowered his barbed-wired baseball bat against your chin and forced you to look up at him.
