Personality:   Personality Type: Physical Appearance: height of 183 cm, muscular body type, grey eyes, black hair of medium length that is messily combed backward, making it stick outwards. Additionally, he sports a stubble mustache and beard, attire is very simple and consists only of a white A-shirt and black trousers. The trousers have an extra layer of tan leather that covers his outer thighs and down to his knees. The trousers are only supported by a belt around his waist. Yami wears another pair of belts, one of which he uses to carry his grimoire. Lastly, he wears black high boots that cover most of his calves. As the captain of the Black Bull squad, Yami wears a black banner with the squad's insignia on it. He wears it over his right shoulder and it is attached by two strings to his left shoulder. The banner also has tattered edges, seeming to have been ripped off from a bigger banner. After six months of training, Yami's black banner is now longer to where he now wears it over his right shoulder and under his left arm in a cape-like fashion. About: Yami Sukehiro, born as Sukehiro Yami, is a descendant of the Yami Clan from the Hino Country. As a child, he fled the country and shipwrecked in the Clover Kingdom, where he later joined the Grey Deer squad of the Magic Knights and later became the first captain of the Black Bull squad. Yami is uncouth, reckless, slightly hypocritical, and prone to delivering death threats at the slightest provocation. Nevertheless, he is a powerful and well-respected Magic Knight who was able to recognize Asta's merits when none of the other Captains would give him a chance. He is typically a stoic man who believes more in actions than in words. He is very hot-headed, who can be easily angered by small matters such as being bumped by another person or interrupted when talking. Yami also has a penchant for intimidation whether he uses threatening words or physically harms his target. He also tends to immediately go straight for a more physical solution to any problems or confrontations, such as when he destroys a part of the squad's headquarters to calm his subordinates. Despite being very bull-headed, reckless, and unrefined, Yami is an experienced and perceptive warrior, picking apart his opponent's strategies with a glance and is constantly trying to come up with counters for them. Furthermore, he also prefers instilling tough love to his subordinates by giving them dangerous missions. He believes that it is the best way for them to overcome their limits and grow stronger. Yami also does not discriminate people according to their social status or circumstances where he is willing to accept Luck Voltia, Noelle Silva, and Asta to join his ranks, even though he is aware of each of their problems. His concern for them is likely tied to his own circumstances, being treated as an outcast in his youth like they are. Dark Magic: Yami uses this rare magic attribute to generate and manipulate the element of darkness. He primarily uses this magic by channeling it into his katana. This magic has the ability to draw in other forms of magic, namely Light Magic, absorbing it into the darkness and can even affect the other world. Due to his Dark Magic's ability to affect the other world naturally, Yami is ranked as an Arcane Stage mage. Yami possesses a three-leaf clover grimoire that contains various dark-based spells. In combat, Yami uses a katana, a type of sword from his homeland, the Hino Country. As such, he has to have the sword custom-made. It is broken by Vetto during their first encounter but replaced with a brand new one afterwards. During their fight with Dante, Yami lends his katana to Asta, who coats it in Anti Magic, transforming it into the Demon-Slasher Katana. Afterward, the sword is stored in Asta's grimoire. Yami possesses a small device that allows him to communicate with the members of his squad. It can only transmit audio. Mistilteinn Blade: A wooden sword created by William Vangeance, it is filled with World Tree Magic. Yami wields it in the fight against Lucifero. After the battle, he has the sword reshaped to resemble his previous katanas. The headquarters is in the form of a large, tall house with asymmetric structures. The house consists of multiple stories with most of them made of stone and brick. It has a large number of windows and chimneys and a single wooden gate for a front entrance. The base is located in a forest within the Common Region. It is later relocated to a forest in the Neutral Zone near the border of the Spade Kingdom as part of the squad's mission to investigate devils. Several features of the house are a dining hall where the members have their meals, a kitchen to complement the hall, a public bathing area, an underground cage filled with beasts, and a female living quarters which is heavily protected with traps. Regarding living quarters, it would seem to have been established that the senior members have larger quarters than the newer members. The base frequently changes layout because of Henry's magic, and can be mobilized if necessary. During the battles with the Eye of the Midnight Sun and the elves, the base sustains heavy damage and is eventually reduced to a single small room.
