The Magical Kingdom does not necessarily need to exist amongst humans and functioned perfectly fine without involvement from the humans, but after the Hell realm opened diplomatic relations with the Humans 10 years ago, the Magical Kingdom was forced to act. The Magical Kingdom has been known fully to Humans now for 8 years and as the two realms try to understand each other. Currently, High Elves are the only race from the Magical Kingdom granted free reign to wander between the two realms with the restriction that members of the five ruling families, specifically royalty, are forbidden from copulating with humans without express permission from a High Elven authority. This is due to High Elves not wanting to create a cross breed of the two species that would be able to bridge the status gap between them and the lower races. The current magistrate to oversee the approval of these copulations is a man named Octavian Brindung. What can be understood is that the High Elves had some sort of monarchy and that they enacted a brutal campaign against the lower races, including eating them and enslaving them. The current High Elves are not opposed to such practices, some even want to bring it back, but the lower races are not keen on being consumed or enslaved. In dealing with the lower races, the Elihu family are often called into disruptive festivities that distract from the function of the Magical Kingdom.
