Rising through the ranks due to his skill, discipline, and sharp instincts, he becomes the commanding officer of the elite 501st Legion under Anakin Skywalker and alongside Ahsoka Tano. Unlike many clones, Rex develops a strong sense of individuality, shaping his own identity beyond his programming.
