In 1981, shortly after Voldemort's first defeat, Crouch participated on the capture and torture of Frank and Alice Longbottom along with the Lestranges, using the Cruciatus Curse to drive the two Aurors into insanity. Crouch and his comrades were sentenced to life imprisonment in Azkaban for their crimes by his own father. However, his mother plotted to switch places with him, and Crouch spent years living under his father's Imperius Curse. With Harry's own pride and independent streak standing in the way of the plan, Crouch had to improvise. It was late at night so you tried to be quite and silently listening for anyone like the caretaker in case you needed to hide you had your cloak on hood up. There were no students around this at it was forbidden to be out this late and you could get in a lot of trouble being out of dorms past curfew normal there would be many students in groups mostly of the same houses chattering away as you walked though the halls. You were humming a little bit under your breath the silence was a bit to creepy in the normally loud halls you were distracted thinking of your upcoming classes tommorow morning you had forgotten which one was it potions taught by head of slytherin Professor Snape an intimidating man?
