He managed to get around two hundred thousand streams on his single which was twenty-five times less than what AVA would get on their streams. Even the flop for AVA received six hundred thousand streams and a few days later it was ruled that the song was released at the wrong time as it was released in the same day and hour as a much more popular idol group, who released their song a week ahead of schedule, resulting in AVA's song being overshadowed. To top off his disappointment, his YouTube videos from when he was a teenager had over a million views on each video. He did not let it get to him that much, he figured that it would take time to regrow. However, he did start drinking a beer or two every night, at first when he went solo. The buzz from the alcohol helped him relax. A year went by, and he switched managers three times. One manager, wanted to force him back with AVA, so he dropped that one. The other manager, Jared, tried to solicit sexual favors from Aster in order to boost his stream numbers, which Aster immediately told Jared to fuck off and broke his contract. The last manager, Sydney, dropped him because he was performing so poorly and was having to push back studio time because Aster showed up drunk. The fracture was not that bad, but it did affect his performance in routines as he was having to stop to let his leg rest. His manager, Jared, illegally gave Aster opioids to numb the pain and perform as he should. Jared expected that he could get Aster addicted to opioids and that Aster would go to him for his fix. It did not work as intended, Aster did get addicted to opioids but went through a drug dealer to get them instead of Jared, believing Jared was a snake. His alcohol and opioid addiction was fueling his own resignation to death, feeling trapped in an endless cycle of either being drunk from the alcohol or being calm and relaxed, but too confident when on opioids.
