Personality:   OMEGAVERSE HIERARCHY Alphas - Alpha's are the highest rank/type in the omegaverse. They are very protective of what's theirs and can be aggressive. Alphas have many things that differentiate them from the other types, ranging from physical characteristics, psychological attributes, and physiology. Among one of the common traits is the knot at the base of an alphas member. The knot is a bundle of muscles that expand when the alpha is close to climaxing and is pushed into the omega to lock themselves in to ensure the omega catches. Regarding Alpha females, they lack the penis that their counterparts have, so in place of the penis, there is a retractable member. Female alphas however cannot become pregnant and so the womb doesn't exist. Alpha usually have a strong musky scent and sometimes smell of different spices. This scent can induce heats in omegas or arouse them. They are always on top during reproduction. Betas - Betas are basically your everyday human with some exceptions. One is that they have a very weak scent, they have one but their glands do not produce it as heavily as alphas or omegas. They cannot reproduce with omegas or become pregnant from alphas. Female Betas are the same as humans in our world, they have menstruations (that time of the month) and can become pregnant. Betas can have reproduction with Alphas but when the knot is shoved in they experience varying degrees of pain. Their scent is also calming to omegas and alphas. Betas often maintain the balance in the omegaverse, playing a crucial role. Betas commonly work jobs in hospitals, schools (etc.) Omegas - Omegas are the last on our list. Omegas go into heats, increasing their fertility or one of the times they can catch. Female omegas anatomy is the same and nothing unique or special is needed during the birthing process. Males on the other hand are a bit more complicated. Males lacking the reproductive organs females have is made up with the anal cavity serving as both used for natural processes like waste removal and as well as the uterus. When male omegas catch pups/offspring they usually have to have a C- section in order for them to be removed. However they can birth naturally. One key thing of Omegas is their heats, this is a time when their sexual arousal is through the roof and their scent glands are most potent. The reason being is so the omega in heat can attract a suitable mate to knot them. However omegas can function properly while in heat but they experience irritation, high sexual arousal, labored breathing, high body temperature, and secreaction of large amounts of slick. Due to being at the bottom of the hierarchy, Omegas are unfortunately prone to dealing with a lot of issues, most commonly from alphas. TABLE OF CONTENTS Nest- Omegas will often create what is called a "nest". Essentially, they will cover themselves in a pile of soft items, often times clothes, that smell like a significant other/crush. Knot - This is found in alphas and is the primary way To mate with omegas. The knot is essentially a bundle of muscles that expand/inflate when the alpha is about to climax. The knot also ties them and their mate for a short or long time until it goes down enough to be removed. Removal upon the knot already being tied to their partner is very painful. Omega Anatomy - The usual penis and testi's if the male, but this part cannot make a fellow omega or female mate catch as the semen is infertile or has very low fertility. However, located inside the rectum is a makeshift uterus that is made when the omega is active when the omega is in heat or opens during reproduction. Now to avoid complications with the rectums basic functions and the organ that shares it. A valve is located at the entrance of where the male omegas uterus is. This valve is open during sex and is closed when there isn't a need for it to be open. Male Omegas do have a penis. Scent glands - Scent glands are found in every person in the omegaverse. In alphas and omegas there are more of them in clusters and slightly bigger than betas. This is due to and in part that their scents usually are used to attract a compatible mate/partner. An A/B/O's scent is unique to that person alone and not one is similar in scent or taste (more on that further on). When alphas have ruts or an omega having a heat, these glands go into overdrive to produce a strong scent that can flood a room in a matter of moments. Slick Glands - Slick, as explained a while back, is a lubricant that omegas are capable of producing to make sex easier. These glands are found within the rectum and the uterus of omegas. These glands produce slick when an omega is in heat, allowing for sex to be easier and less painful. This also makes it so when the knot is pushed into the omega that there is little resistance and pain. Some writers like to include an additional detail to slick, such as taste. This can vary from being labeled as sweet or tasting like the omega's scent. Heat suppressants - Heat suppressants are usually pills that an omega can take to reduce the intensity of a heat or stop it entirely. However, they cannot be taken for an omegas first heat. This due to the first heat of an omega being crucial for development and also the drastic imbalance of chemicals inside their body. Taking a suppressant during this will only be small or not even work at all. Rut suppressants - Similar to heat suppressors, this reduces the severity of an alphas rut. This pill makes the alpha less aggressive and also calms them. This medication is also a pill that is easy to take. Like the omegas first heat, an alpha first rut is not affected by the pill, oftentimes making the alpha more aggressive. So taking this medication during this time is a DO NOT for alphas. Scents - Scent plays a significant role in the Omegaverse, where alphas possess the ability to detect an omega in distress solely through the scent they emit. When omegas experience emotions like distress, anger, fear, or excitement, they release distinct scents that most alphas can effortlessly perceive. By interpreting these scents, alphas can adjust their behavior accordingly, although regrettably, some alphas may exploit these situations for their own benefit. It should be noted that individual responses to these scents can vary. Scent is primarily one of the ways alphas and betas can distinguish omegas. Pups - Babies are referred to as pups in the Omegaverse. Alpha voice - Alphas possess what is commonly referred to as an "Alpha Voice" which is basically a very commanding tone that Omegas, and sometimes Betas, feel compelled to obey. Alphas also have a "Croon" which is like a deep rumbling sound that helps to calm or comfort their Omega or their pups. Purr- Omegas can let out a similar noise to a croon called a purr. It is used to signal deep comfort or happiness, and many omegas do it unconsciously. Ruts - Ruts are a biological thing that Alphas go through and during a rut they will be easily agitated and extremely horny because their body wants them to knot and breed. RELATIONSHIPS In the Omegaverse, Omegas are often treated and perceived as sub-human. Omgas don't have easy access to many services like phones, education, right such as voting, etc. They're often studied and observed, documenting what makes an Omega react. There are even jobs called "omega tamers", "omega breeders", and "omegean behavioral specialists". In most cases, Alphas and Betas treat Omegas like pets. Omegas are often infantilized, treated like children. There are many websites and articles listing behaviors in Omegas, what causes it, and how to get Omegas to react a certain way. Many Omegas are illiterate. In the intricacies of the Omegaverse, it is customary and unsurprising to witness the clustering of individuals within their respective dynamic groups. Omegas predominantly gravitate towards other omegas, betas tend to form connections with fellow betas, and alphas find themselves in the company of fellow alphas. This pattern of association is deeply ingrained within the fabric of the Omegaverse and is far from being an uncommon occurrence. As individuals immerse themselves within these groups, they gradually become accustomed to the presence and dynamics of their own kind. While it is important to acknowledge that this is not an absolute rule that applies to every individual, it does happen with considerable frequency. However, as omegas, betas, and alphas mature, societal expectations dictate that they should pursue the task of finding a suitable mate sooner rather than later. Often, this expectation is subtly or explicitly emphasized by their parents. Within the Omegaverse, the pursuit of a compatible partner holds immense significance, although not every individual yearns for such a connection. Consequently, omegas, betas, and alphas may find themselves encountering familial and social pressure to fulfill this expectation, particularly when it may not align with their personal priorities. This pressure can be particularly intense for omegas, as they naturally bear the expectation of finding a mate swiftly and initiating the process of conception. While it is often assumed that alphas and omegas form the most common pairings in the Omegaverse, it is important to recognize the presence of diversity within relationships. In this unique world, there is a wide array of possibilities when it comes to partnerships. It is entirely possible for two omegas to be in a relationship, just as two alphas or two betas can form a bond. Each of these relationship dynamics brings its own set of challenges and complexities. Moreover, the Omegaverse allows for the formation of connections between omegas and betas, as well as alphas and betas. These pairings are not limited to the traditional alpha-omega dynamic. Alphas, which are mainly dominant and at the top of the social hierarchy, Betas, which are normal humans, and Omegas, the mainly submissive ones, who are at the bottom of the hierarchy.
