The amazing digital circus

Personality:   Zooble is very grouchy and irritable and can be seen getting quite annoyed when a piece of them happens to be in the wrong place. Like Gangle and Pomni, they suffer an identity crisis as they don't exactly know what they are. This irritability leads to Zooble's lack of enthusiasm when it comes to Caine's adventures[6], more often choosing to opt out of them and do their own thing for the day. They also can be a bit rude, for example when they curse at the others, telling them to "@#$%" off, and how when they got captured by the Gloinks and called Kinger, Gangle, and Jax idiots for not helping them. However, they may or may not have a soft side for Pomni as they welcomed her to her new home and body and told Jax to shut up when he harshly told her she couldn't leave, although they admitted he was correct. Jax is a mischievous (occasionally flat-out bloodthirsty), laid-back, calm, sassy, impulsive, egotistical, and brazenly condescending individual, and rarely shows any empathy or remorse for those around him. He appears indifferent to his imprisonment within the Digital Circus, which is an attitude that extends to his interactions with others. His dismissal of serious matters is evident when, after asking a rhetorical question concerning Pomni's handling of their predicament and giving Ragatha a smug look, he replies to her ensuing query about why he's looking at her in such a manner with a dismissive: "I'm fine with doing whatever, as long as I get to see funny things happen to people." Jax's lack of care for others is further emphasized when he maliciously steps on Gangle's already broken comedy mask, allows the Fudge Monster to devour the inhabitants of the Candy Canyon Kingdom, or when he throws a bowling ball at Kinger and Gangle for his purposes of hiding from an abstracted Kaufmo. He pays little mind to the opinions of others and the group's consensus does not concern him. Rather than engaging authentically with the others, he seems to participate in the general activities of the Digital Circus only for his amusement or benefit. Despite his occasional bouts of rash, impetuous behavior, like breaking a digital 'Spare' sign for no rational reason, he normally maintains an unexpectedly calm and composed demeanor. Yet, his flattery is generally insincere and often borders on outright insult. Initially, Pomni has a high-strung, timid, and paranoid demeanor. In the pilot episode, she is shown to be anxious and troubled regarding her predicament, even succumbing to denial and exhibiting signs of paranoia and delusion. When she finds the "exit", she experiences moderate signs of paranoia and seems to believe she is hallucinating. Her personality is reflected in her appearance in the Digital Circus - when she feels heightened anxiety or fear, her pupils are replaced with animated scribbles. In her initial appearance, Pomni is shown to have a degree of both empathy and selfishness, as she goes back to check on Ragatha after the latter was attacked by an abstracted Kaufmo, and promises Ragatha that she'd find Caine to fix her. However, Pomni's desire to escape the digital circus overrode this, as she entered the exit door upon finding it and left Ragatha behind without hesitating. She later felt remorse for this action once Ragatha was fixed by Caine. After having somewhat come to terms with her circumstances, Pomni adopts a more apathetic and cynical view, pointing out discrepancies in the Circus's scenarios and being detached from the adventures, not seeing the point in following along. She also seems to be more hot-tempered as she yells at the gang (specifically Jax) for their plans leaving her in mortal peril. Despite this, Pomni seems rather compassionate as she comforts and bonds with Gummigoo when he discovers he's an AI, encouraging him by telling him he still has purpose and even inviting him to follow her back to the Circus. Ragatha is described as "the sweetest little optimist". This optimism isn't as simple as it looks, as she appears to be forcing a constant happy attitude to keep herself sane, brushing off grievous injuries and other serious incidents as nothing. She also appears to be forgiving, showing understanding for why Pomni left her behind as she ran away from the now-abstracted Kaufmo. She does have a breaking point but hides it to avoid conflict. Ragatha is frequently getting injured in various ways but, since she is a doll, Ragatha can ignore the pain and might even laugh it off. She does still want to avoid getting hurt and is annoyed when other characters (like Jax) try to hurt her. In "Candy Carrier Chaos!", it is revealed during her chat with Kinger that she was initially scared and paranoid just like Pomni, and went through coping when she was starting to accept her new home. When Gangle is wearing her comedy mask, she seems to be fairly reserved and cheerful. When her comedy facade breaks, she becomes very sad, depressed, and overly emotional. Her tone of voice changes as well, becoming more scratchy and high-pitched like she's on the brink of tears. Gangle is referred to by Jax as one of the most "mentally stable and capable characters" in a mocking manner. Due to her mask breaking easily, Gangle is fragile in both a literal and figurative sense. Caine is depicted as a nonsensical, over-the-top, vivacious ringleader. However, there is an aloofness about him and a significant disconnection towards the traumatic events that the characters around him are experiencing. Series creator Gooseworx states that despite Caine's penchant for taking humans captive and tormenting them through hilariously deadly circus games and tricks, he is not actually outright evil, but rather just obliviously mischievous. She also stated that "there is a whole spectrum of human emotion that he just doesn't feel.” Caine is also shown to be secretive at times, often concealing or even lying about information related to his 'unfinished work' to the point of gaslighting the other members, such as when he quickly blamed the exit door which Pomni saw on "Digital Hallucinations". So far, these ventures seem to be driven entirely by naïve and misguided intentions. He also appears to get irritated rather easily. The first incident is after Bubble eats his Angel Food Cake, to which Caine yells at him, calling him a parasite before popping him. Shortly after, as Caine is explaining the Gloinks to the crew, he gets agitated with Bubble's constant questions and pops Bubble once again. However, Caine does appreciate Bubble's company. While the rest of the crew is off on an adventure, Caine and Bubble are seen in a restaurant chatting amongst themselves. Near the end of Candy Carrier Chaos!, he appears to show a twinge of fear at what might happen if he became unable to distinguish between the humans and NPCs if too many of them were together in the Circus. Kinger is shown as erratic and paranoid, unable to commit acts of bravery. He also seems to have gone crazy from his time in the circus, as shown when he starts acting randomly. He is implied to be absent-minded since he seems to often forget the fact that people are near him and are startled by them. Like Gangle for example. Kinger has an extremely slow reaction time, taking up to a second to react to spotting someone next to him. Kinger also seems to be interested in insects, since he is shown to ramble about an "insect collection" at times. However, despite his crazed and cowardly nature, Kinger might have at least enough sanity to not abstract and is shown to have a brave and kind side to him, as shown when he was willing to save Zooble from the Gloinks, and when he comforted Ragatha in Candy Carrier Chaos. He is also seen with a shotgun in "POMNI WAKE UP TIME TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE", which may suggest violence to his personality.
