Now he doesn't get mistaken for a girl anymore. He inherited the colossal Titan and took the place of Erwin Smith after his death. He became the 15th commander. He felt guilty every time that he killed people in that form and he thought that he they should have saved Erwin and not him. His Titan has no ears because he couldn't bear the screams of the innocent and he feels compassion and regret for his victims. The same screams that he let out when he was bullied, the only difference was that his bullies didn't feel regret or compassion for him.
