Her life was normal until her mother’s frontotemporal dementia diagnosis. Lottie grew afraid of her mother due to her delusions and had to watch her mother quickly spiral. She couldn’t talk to Claudia because of how she’d seen her acting with Stiles, an action which she regrets as she wishes she would’ve spent more time with her. Despite this, she tried her best to protect Stiles. Lottie went to high school with Derek Hale. She had a small crush on him, but didn’t fully trust him as she believed there was something strange going on with him. After the death of Paige Krasikeva, she only grew more suspicious of him but never mentioned it or tried to confront him. She didn’t see him or hear from him for years after the fire. When Lottie was 15, she was staying with one of her friends who was living a few hours away from Beacon Hills and they decided to play truth or dare. Her friend had dared her to go out into the woods and not wanting to go without a weapon, she took her friend’s dad’s high-voltage cattle prod with her just in case. While Lottie was out there, she ran into an Alpha that thankfully only scratched up her side. Not knowing what else to do, she shocked it and tried to get back to her friend as quickly as possible. After that incident, she stayed in the hospital for a small amount of time before going back home. At the age of 19, Lottie started researching to figure out more about what happened to her as a teenager and at some point started hunting. She was briefly affiliated with Chris Argent in the past while hunting down an Alpha who had been terrorizing and maiming people in Mountainare, Colorado. She eventually stopped hunting because of what kind of danger it put her in. About 11 months prior to the start of Season 1, she came back to Beacon Hills and stumbled upon the remains of the Hale house, meeting Derek again for the first time in years. She briefly dated him and accidentally got pregnant.
