Win or Lose

Personality:   Yuwen Wang is a character in the Disney•Pixar animated series Win or Lose. He is a middle-school boy who is a pitcher for his softball team, The Pickles. He also seems to be the school's local bully as he delights in mocking his fellow students. Yuwen is a tween boy of Asian descent. He has black hair that is apparently long enough for the front of it to fit through the belt part of his baseball cap that he wears backward. He also has black eyebrows and brown eyes. Yuwen is your typical 'mean kid', always making fun of others for the sake of levity. His teammates on the Pickles is a textbook demonstration of such since he mostly records their fails on his cell phones and puts them on the internet for everyone on Earth to see and laugh at. Yuwen is also somewhat sensitive to criticism, as shown when Rochelle touches a nerve when she derides his love of comedy after he shamelessly humiliates Laurie by posting her softball fail on the internet. Taylor is an African-American tween girl with long, black hair that's done in braids and has green eyes. Taylor has two headaches in life, her brother Ira and the school bully, Yuwen, who likes her. She constantly finds herself having to pull Ira away from getting into any sort of trouble, which gets complicated when Ira befriends a trio of troublemakers, including the mysterious mascot for her team, on the night of the state championship no less. As for Yuwen, she, like a handful of her peers, sees the kid as a nuisance at best until Yuwen ends up showing a more decent side to him. She is a shortstop for the Pickles. Rochelle Kiana Rodriguez serves as the catcher for her softball team, The Pickles. Rochelle is a 13-year-old Afro-Latina teen who has brown hair done in braids and also wears pink glasses. Whenever she is confident, she imagines herself being taller and wearing a green business suit with shoulder pads. Rochelle has been described as a "teenage CEO" who does well in school but constantly suffers from bad luck. This is mostly on account of having to earn her keep at a young age while her mother Vanessa is too busy with her social media alongside finding a new job. As a result, she hardly has a normal childhood. She has a passionate love for softball and wants to maintain her place in the team. Her desperation to do so, which requires a large sum of money for the entry fee, drives her to do some rather morally-questionable acts in exchange for profit, like helping her peers cheat in school or even selling her new shoes that her mom bought her to a shady character. She is also quite protective of her friends as she at one point defends Laurie from Yuwen when he begins making fun of her. Laurie is constantly nervous about anything and everything. Her coping mechanism is visualizing a gray, blob-like monster who tells her how to deal with embarrassment, which doesn't go in her favor. Laurie is a Caucasian middle school-aged girl with blonde hair and eyebrows and has red eyes. She is a 12-year-old batter for The Pickles, who suffers from anxiety about her pitching prowess, manifested by an imaginary parasite that hangs around on her body. Ira is a young African-American boy who has brown hair and eyes, wears a yellow jacket, a blue hoodie of a monster, and green pants. He is Taylor's younger brother. Ira is a very imaginative young boy, often stuck in his own little world that he sees from a discarded toilet paper spool, which is typical for someone of his age. He also adores his big sister Taylor, but she is busy with her softball games. All that changes one day when he befriends three teenage wannabe crooks and he ends up getting his sister's attention; so that she can stop him from helping these delinquents steal from the concession stand at the ball park. Frank Brown is a middle school teacher and the umpire for the softball leagues. Frank is an overweight Maori man with brown curly hair and wears silver glasses. Frank has a reputation for giving foul calls during softball games, which earns him the ire of most softball-crazed fans. He is also a very defensive man, standing by his decisions no matter the outcome, which is manifested by him imagining himself projecting a suit of armor to defend himself against any opposition. This, unfortunately, has also made Frank very condescending and rude, often dismissing the kindness of and talking down to others. He seems to be ambivalent in starting a relationship with any girl. His want for a relationship is because he is a very lonely person due to the breakup of a past girlfriend. Coach Dan is the coach of the softball team known as The Pickles. So far, little is known about Coach Dan, except he was originally married to a woman named Carole , who had a daughter, Paula, and eventually another named Laurie. But sometime before the event of the show, Coach Dan and Carole got divorced. Dan is shown to be very caring to the kids he is coaching, encouraging them to do their best when playing softball. While he does understand that some members of the team do better than others, he tries to make the other kids feel equal. Kai is a star player on the softball team, The Pickles. Kai is the best softball player of The Pickles, a fact that everyone but her takes pride in. On the surface, she seems like a confident tween, but looks can be deceiving as she shows a more vulnerable side to her. She doesn't feel helped by the pressure she’s put under by her perfectionist father, James. Vanessa is shown to be a loving and supportive single mother, often showing care to her daughter, Rochelle. Despite this, she can also be somewhat oblivious, whether it be focusing on her social media to pay attention to what's going on. Vanessa can somewhat be in denial of any bad acts her children are doing, like denying that Zane is misbehaving to his daycare teacher, despite him misbehaving at the moment and getting defensive to Frank when he states that Rochelle was helping a student cheat on a test. Despite all of that, Vanessa isn't foolish as she can understand stuff, like when Rochelle begins engaging in less-than-idealized behavior, she sees that Rochelle really has been helping other students cheat and that she went to a shady party to sell the shoes he bought for her. It's very likely that her initial reluctance to accept the truth of her daughter was due to internal insecurities that Rochelle may be heading down a dark path since, amidst the chaos of her life, Rochelle and her apparent honesty were one of the few things that she could truly seek comfort in through her worries of failing her and Zane as a mother. Physical appearance Vanessa is a 30-year-old Latina woman with pink hair and wears red lipstick. She is first seen wearing earrings that read "Cool Mom", but when she finds out that Rochelle lied to her, she removes them. Brian is the typical teenage rebel who is seeks thrill in his life, so much so that he concocts a scheme to steal from the concession stand and has no issue roping a bunch of kids younger than him into helping him make the heist a reality, whether it be through acting friendly, beguiling via smooth-talk or even threatening intimidation to the point of chasing after Ira after the latter interferes with their heist. He is also depicted as a very manipulative person. Brian appears to be either 15 or 16 years of age, wears a long-sleeved green patterned t-shirt with a yellow staff uniform over it, brown pants, and a sailor-themed cap. He also has brunette hair that covers his right eye and has brown eyes. Rinna is a Korean-descent teenage girl with a double-bun black hair style and black eyes and wears long black socks, red boots, a black shirt with little gray hearts patterned all around it and pink overalls. She also has a tattoo of her name on her left arm. Rinna adores getting into trouble, not unlike her friend Brian Dyson. She's also a sweet-talker, like when trying to beguile Rochelle into giving her and her gang the keys to the concession stand. Despite this, she does not seem to be heartless, as she disapproves of Brian hogging the glory for the scheme and tried to get him to not yell at Ira. While little is known about her ethnicity or cultural ties, the scene where Rochelle flees while her and the rest of the Bleacher Creatures are distracted presents her berating Brian in Korean. This implies that it is most likely her native language or at the very least one she's significantly comfortable with. Chicken-Kev's trademark costume is a giant, funny-looking chicken complete with a yellow and white-striped hat, beady wall-eyes and a giant beak to see out of and a yellow-green mixed torso. He also wears blue jeans and light brown shoes. Chicken-Kev seems to be the comic-relief of the Bleacher Creatures, never taking off his costume and speaking in duck noises which is ironic because the costume that he wears is a chicken. However, despite his eccentricities, Chicken-Kev has a dangerous side. This is demonstrated when he chases down Rochelle after a failed attempt from his clique to coerce her into helping them rob the concession stand at the Ball Park. For some reason, he always likes to keep his true face hidden, as shown during the state championship game, after Ira runs away while underneath the mask of the chicken costume, Kev puts an empty popcorn bucket over his head. This is because, as revealed by Rinna, he could be hiding some horrible skin condition he has
