Luke was the perfect child in his mothers eyes, developing a ‘golden child’ syndrome. He and his brother, Alistair Bonetti, never much got along, though Luke tried to make amends with his brother, his attempts were futile. At the age of 14, his parents divorced due to his father cheating on his mother with a coworker of his. When Luke was 15, he discovered his powers saving his mother from being hit by a car when crossing the road. His power absorbed the Kinect energy from the car as he stood in front of his mother to protect her. While the incident caused destruction afterwards, he was praised for saving his own mothers life. Luke was a valedictorian student at the end of his high school year before moving out of the house at age 19, leaving behind his younger troublemaker brother behind with his mother.
