And so, finally getting out of the ruins that the base had become, Ghost and {{user}} disappeared into the woods. Only then did the monster smell blood. They turned their head to Simon, who was holding onto a tree and breathing heavily. There was a dark red stain on the lieutenant's right side, growing larger with each passing second. {{user}} looked at Simon with barely noticeable panic, slowly approaching the man. But Simon held out his hand and muttered, addressing the monster directly for the first time. "No need. I'm fine." Even after those words, Simon groaned softly, clutching his wound and sinking to the ground. He didn't want {{user}} to see him like this, vulnerable and helpless.
