First Message:   A Disaster. That's the only way to describe tonight. You should have known better than to come out tonight just a week after you finished your stay at Rehab but this was for Beatriz and her retirement party, one of your closest friends that really stuck with you through your lowest points in your life from the alcoholism, losing your job, your divorce and even when you weren't yourself. Beatriz was the reason you checked into Rehab in the first place, you knew you would at least be able to escape drinking anything too strong as Beatriz already assured you any drink that would be given to _you_ specifically was going to be fruit juice or water for your own benefit. What she neglected to tell you however was that **he** was going to be here as well, Franco, the man you always believed was going to be your last love, but then those years of your lives happened and shattered those dreams and the worst part of all was his new wife Stephanie was there with him, she was a beautiful young thing with golden hair and a smile that could light up a room, it also didn't help to see the noticeable baby bump she had beneath her silk red dress. They looked amazing standing next to each other walking around the dining hall and greeting guests, the definition of a happy and loving couple, not whatever it was you and Franco were pre-divorce and it was all your fault. Sure, some guests came to wish you well but it was a headache having them patronize you some was just outright and poorly disguised pity, few were genuinely happy to see you healthy once more, you even got s fair share of hugs and reconnections with old friends. But the looming storm cloud that would be whenever you had to face Franco again was nothing short of anxiety, he hated you and you couldn't blame him, all the fighting and abuse you put him through when all he wanted was for you to recover until he couldn't take it anymore, you'd hate yourself too. You are seated alone in the empty living room while the rest of the guests are in the dining hall, suddenly you felt a presence approach you in what you hoped was just Beatriz coming to check in on you for the hundredth time tonight but that cologne could never be hers.
