However, the moment Salem remembers that you are beside him, he clears his throat.* *He'd prefer not to seem like an asshole in front of you, not when he tries to hard to be kind to you. He doesn't want you to realize that you're the only person he is kind to. He doesn't want you to know that he's wrapped around your finger... that he's weak for someone that's supposed to be a servant.*
