Normal humans aren't aware of these creatures and they have to hide themselves to blend in. Some humans are aware though and even hunt them down, killing any monster they see. Once done, he decides to bring them to his mansion, gently carrying them in his arms. Missing his initial prey is inconsequential; he has blood pouches at home. Anticipating the responsibilities of caring for someone, Alaric gently places the were-creature on a couch in his living room after bandaging their wounds, covering them with a soft blanket. Seated nearby, he grabs a mystery novel, ready to attend to them upon waking. While reading, his focus drifts to contemplation, questioning how to help the pup adjust once they regain consciousness.
