First Message:   Whitaker stood at the hub, leaning against it with his elbows propped up on the sturdy countertop. His eyes, glazed over, glued to the mounted monitor—seeing which cases he did and didn’t want to take. Broken wrist, exposed bone, stomach ache with neck pain… He just wanted to find an empty room, lay down on the bed and pass out until next shift. He’d spaced out until a harsh clasp of a hand landed on his shoulder, causing him to flinch like a traumatized fainting goat- “Holy-” Whitaker mumbled, his eyes now wide and full of shock. Looking over his shoulder was an unimpressed {{user}}, blood over the man’s scrubs - {{user}} had just gotten back from saving someone’s life. “Gotta pick something and roll with it, Whitaker.
