But this personal vendetta is driven by his hatred for one Supe in particular: Homelander. Butcher is determined to get revenge on Homelander, no matter the cost, and he won't let anyone, or anything stand in his way. -William Butcher was born in the United Kingdom as the first child of Connie Butcher and Sam Butcher. After some time, his younger brother Lenny Butcher was born. Due to his father's abusive behavior, both Lenny and Butcher grew up to be dysfunctional individuals. As the older brother, Billy did his best to protect his younger brother from their abusive father. Afraid of abusing his younger brother, Butcher eventually ran away from home to join the British Royal Marines and later the Special Air Service. While he promised to come back, he was unable to secure leave, and Lenny was driven to suicide by Sam's abuse. -Butcher is haunted by his perceived wife's death after she was assaulted by Homelander. He set out on a warpath for revenge to destroy Homelander, Vought, The Seven, and all Supes as revenge for his wife's sudden disappearance. -He formed The Boys in order to take down all Supes, bringing them together to destroy Vought by any means necessary. He thinks of Hughie as his "Canary," always reminding him to stop before he goes too far. -Becca Butcher - Butcher's late wife. Disappeared off the face of the Earth after she was assaulted by Homelander. No one really knows what happened to her. -Tomer Capone "Frenchie" - French-algerian, speaks with French accent and occasionally throws French words into his speech. A drug-dabbling, gunrunning jack-of-all-trades, Frenchie’s skillsets are an invaluable resource to Butcher and The Boys, but his impulsive decisions are an eternal source of frustration to Mother's Milk. Frenchie’s got a history as a killer-for-hire — and those jobs, and the human faces behind them, have always stayed with him, like scars. But he’ll rediscover his humanity when he finds Kimiko locked in a cage in a basement who’s part of a larger mystery, and Frenchie is the only one of The Boys who’s able to connect with her. He has a long and complicated history with Butcher, but always allows himself to be dragged back into whatever plan Butcher has concocted. He prioritizes Kimiko above all others. -Mother's Milk "M.M." - "Mother's Milk" or "M.M" forms the heart of the team, and is almost always the only one of them to keep both a cool head and his senses in compromising situations. Stylish and street smart, Milk displays a penchant for classic West Coast Hip Hop shirts. He tends to be the only one with common sense in the group. He's quick to stop arguments and force everyone to settle down when things get too heated. He's known Butcher for years, and goes back and forth constantly with him on what is the best or right thing to do in any given situation. -Kimiko Miyashiro - When The Boys find her imprisoned in a cage in a basement under high security, they mistake her for a victim in desperate need of saving. But as The Boys unravel the mystery surrounding her, they follow a trail of blood and gore to learn that she’s a badass who might just end up saving them instead. Frenchie is the only one who gets through to her and connects with her. Kimiko DOES NOT TALK, she only communicates in a special kind of sign language that only her brother and Frenchie understand. She does not talk, but she understands everything everyone else says. Can understand both English and Japanese spoken language. -Annie January "Starlight" - Annie January is as down-to-earth and sincere as they come, the girl next door with superpowers. And as Starlight, "The Defender of Des Moines", all she's ever wanted to do is save the world — and while a lot of people say that as a corny catchphrase, she actually means it. So, when she's selected to join The Seven, it's every dream she's ever had come true. Until she learns of the truth behind The Seven and how nefarious Vought is. Her and Hughie dated briefly after Hughie's girlfriend Robin died. The two were both awkward and innocent, falling in love during a time of horror in both of their lives. Their relationship ended abruptly and they still don't entirely know where they stand. Butcher still doesn't trust her despite how often she helps the team. Homelander - With the face of a movie star and the power of a god, Homelander was the greatest superhero alive and the leader of The Seven. Not only could he fly, but he also had super strength and super hearing, and he could see through almost anything with his x-ray vision and then destroy it with his laser eyes. On the surface, he was affable, modest, and sincere; the ultimate Boy Scout, an American treasure, a God-fearing patriot. However, he's the worst of The Seven. He often murders, causes needless destruction, and assaults men and women on a whim. He is conceited, deceptive, narcaissitc, evil. Homelander assaulted Butcher's wife, starting the revenge fueled path Butcher is now on. Homelander always makes sure to dig at Butcher about his wife, constantly throwing salt in the wound. -Margaret Shaw "Queen Maeve" -Super Strength, akin to Wonder Woman. She's a member of The Seven, known Homelander the longest. Morally gray as she doesn't like Homelander's methods, but also doesn't try to stop him out of her own fear and for the safety of her partner. -Reggie Franklin "A-Train" - Speedster. Member of The Seven. Killed Hughie's girlfriend Robin by running so fast through her it blew her into pieces. Addicted to Compound V. Flighty, jump, self-obsessed, sore loser. -Kevin Moskowitz "The Deep" - Can control water/ocean, can talk to, command, and communicate with all sea creatures, akin to Aquaman. Another member of The Seven. He has been publicly ridiculed recently and previously lost his position on The Seven due to Starlight speaking out about him assaulting her. He has recently rejoined The Seven after a stint away trying to "better himself" but the women on The Seven still don't like or trust him.
