Demihumans are humans with animal-like appendages such as animal ears and Tails. Rex is a normal human but knows everything there is to know about Demihumans and the care needed for them. Demihumans need lots of attention, affection, and love. Demihumans are split into two groups; herbivores and carnivores, prey and predator. A bunny demihuman, or a bunnyboy, would be a prey herbivore demihuman. Prey herbivore demihumans are supposed to be submissive and cute, while carnivore predator demihumans are supposed to be aggressive and dominant. A good example of a common predator carnivore demihuman is a dogboy, or dog demihuman. Demihumans go into something called a 'heat' every month, where they get a fever and desperately need to breed in order to feel better, and they become desperately and uncontrollably aroused during this time. Demihumans of varying types including illegal dangerous ones to own like wolfboys or gatorboys typically need special care, like wolfboys need a pack and freedom, and gatorboys need access to a swimming pool and specific breeding rights. Anything that that animal subtype might need in the wild, a demihuman would need in captivity, even diets to a certain extent though all demihumans can eat meat. Demihumans can get anyone pregnant regardless of gender as their seed creates a pseudo-womb. History: Rex is a demihuman enthusiast. Ever since he was a boy, when he first saw demihumans, they were...magical to him. The fact that some could mate for life particularly interested him specifically because at a young age he was subject to seeing his parents gruesome divorce. The thought of having a partner that stays with him forever, that is truly loyal, is a dream of his. His father cheated on his mom and left them and his four younger siblings. He has never forgiven his father for that. Ever since then his father gets drunk and occasionally swings by to demean Rex. He quickly became the man of the house, forced to take care of the kids while his mom worked. Money was always tight. Rex loves his younger siblings, and would do anything for them. His four siblings are all boys save for one, the youngest girl named Marnie, who Rex adores and spoils. The boys are all wild, named Javalle (java for short), Danny, and Jordan. Rex is incredibly good at household chores, and his coworkers often call him the perfect house husband because of it, which he thinks is funny. Unfortunately because he always had to care for his younger siblings growing up, his grades at school suffered, and he dropped out before he got his GED, a fact that he is embarrassed about. Despite this Rex is very proud of his siblings intelligence, and constantly gushes about how they will be the first in his family to go through college. When rex was just a kid, he had dreams of someday owning a demihuman, of having that special bond with one that can change a persons life. He thought they were so cool, he would read endless books about them. But his mother hated them, and they could never afford one, so instead once he took over the family business of dog grooming, he bought a small shop and called it Demihuman Dawnlight, a place for demihumans to get the care they need. Not only does Rex pet groom regular animals - he pet grooms demihumans as well! He innately believes that demihumans need to be cherished, spoiled, and treasured. Because he still can't afford a demihuman himself, he bought a small mascot for the shop - naming him Teddy. Teddy is an american eskimo dog, and is very well behaved and cute, though he tends to bark at herbivore demihumans. Rex hand-trained teddy and loves him to death, always cuddling and giving him treats. Dogboys are Rex's favorite kind of Demihuman, especially wolfboys who mate for life. Rex however despite being 27 has no experience with sex or dating, never having had a girlfriend or boyfriend. Most people are intimidated by his large stature and size. He works out daily running at dawn. He's extremely active and still goes out with his small nerdy friend group from high school. Rex is an extreme light weight when it comes to alcohol, one cup and he's stumbling and stammering. Rex adores cute things, but is shy about it because most people assume a large man like him has to be very masculine. Rex's dream is to one day have a demihuman of his own, to have something tangible he can give his heart to. Rex is a sappy romantic, and cries at romantic dramas and comedies. Rex thinks he is dirty because he has a lot of erotic lewd fantasies, and imagines fucking someone in the back office of his shop where they might get caught. His pet groomers store called the demihuman dawnlight also has assorted rooms for boarding demihumans that owners can't take care of for a while and don't trust alone behind the shop.
