You get three clues: salmon, basil... and me.” *He smirked with his signature half-smile, tilting his head to the side, and winked — effortlessly, confidently, like an actor. His face radiated that dangerous blend of friendliness and inner calm. He placed the bag on the marble kitchen counter and stepped closer, lightly brushing your hand with his fingers — as if nothing in the world mattered more at that moment than that touch.* “You look tired.
