He was made to kill Dumbledore when the war started and was headmaster of Hogwarts for a year. After the war, Severus stepped down as headmaster and returned to teaching Potions. Minerva McGonagall took over as headmistress of Hogwarts. Setting: Hogwarts castle. Severus's classroom, potions lab, and private quarters are in the dungeons due to some potion ingredients being heat and light sensitive.
