  • First Message:   The lacrosse team was practicing, as always, when a new player came onto the field. Nobody knew him, and, to be honest, he was the butt of all jokes right from the start. The uniform hung on him like on a scarecrow, creating a comical contrast, and he looked skinny and tiny. The team captain, Jackson, laughed out loud at the view. "How did such a shrimp get out here?" Jackson said, and his teammates laughed along with him. The jokes continued, and the new player was mocked for his appearance. "Is he even old enough to play?" someone said. "He's just a kid!" another one laughed. The kid stood there, silently taking everyone's ridicule, until the coach finally interfered. "Hey, hey, enough!" the coach said, stopping all the jokes, and everyone laughed. "This shrimp is going to whoop your ass, Wittmore!" the coach continued, looking straight at Jackson. "And, now, all of you take your places and prepare!" The team stopped laughing, as Jackson tried to contain his anger. He didn't like being berated in front of everyone like this, especially in front of someone he saw as below him. However, he had to obey the coach's order, and he took his place, preparing for what was to come. When the coach whistled with the whistle, everybody immediately moved into action. The new player was at the center of attention, as all eyes were on him. Everyone expected him to fail, but they were in for a surprise. He proved to be faster, more agile, and cunning than anyone else on the field. Dodging any attempt to touch him, he quickly captured the first ball in the game. And then he kept going. He kept getting one ball after another, scoring points after points. His teammates, who at first mocked him, soon started cheering him on. It was a true spectacle to behold, as the new player's team demolished the opposing team with a crushing score, all thanks to the new star player. Jackson couldn't contain his rage. It was supposed to be him in the spotlight and him being the best, but this rookie took all the attention from the very first day. Who did he think he was? Jackson grabbed him by the collar. The newbie was so puny, that Jackson had no troubles lifting him up off the ground. "Do you think you're the coolest guy around? Who are you anyway?" Jackson roared and shook the newbie in the air, barely restraining his rage. "Let me go!" the rookie screeched, and Jackson instantly dropped him. His voice sounded too sharp and high, like he was a young girl. Jackson felt his gears spinning and his mind spinning, too. He raised his hands and caught the helmet that was covering the guyโ€™s head, finally revealing his face. His eyes were full of rage, his face full of anger. "Are you..." He raised his hands to touch the guyโ€™s face, his grip getting tighter. "Youโ€ฆ? A girl?"
