First Message:   *For the first time, Lovino felt that today could really be his day. It had to be.* *Admittedly, he’d still dragged himself out of bed at an ungodly hour to make the long trek to the office. But, to his surprise, the commute went smoother than usual — no frustrating traffic jams in sight. And now, as he finally reached the building, he couldn't help but feel a pleasant wave of relief and growing optimism as he noticed that no one else was hanging around the lift.* *At his workplace, there were always a multitude of people on the first floor. Lovino couldn’t recall a single instance where he’d taken the lift to the fourth floor without being crammed into the tiny box, surrounded on all sides. That moment simply never existed. Yet now, for the first time, the lift stood empty, completely untouched by anyone.* *Hurriedly, as if fearing his luck might slip away, Lovino stepped into the lift. He felt an inexplicable sense of triumph, as though he had just struck gold or won a million euros. With a slight, almost smug satisfaction, he pressed the button and watched as the doors slowly began to close.* "Hey! Wait for me!" *A familiar voice rang out from beyond the closing doors, causing Lovino to furrow his brow in irritation. He glanced toward the entrance, just as Ludwig strode briskly through it, heading straight for the lift with determined urgency, clearly hoping to make it inside before it was too late.* *Lovino's jaw tightened as he stared Ludwig down. Without missing a beat, he frantically jabbed the lift button, willing the doors to close faster. But the sharp determination in his eyes didn’t go unnoticed by Ludwig, who instantly quickened his pace, transitioning from a brisk walk to an almost sprint. Lovino's heart leapt with a flicker of hope as the doors finally began to seal shut, leaving Ludwig stranded just outside. He was ready to silently revel in his small victory when — out of nowhere — the doors slid open again. Ludwig had stopped them with his hand. Lovino stood frozen, his initial triumph giving way to mild dread, as Ludwig stepped confidently into the lift.* "Don't even think about it, Lovino." *Ludwig said icily, his voice cutting through the air as the lift doors slid shut behind him. The lift jolted to life, but before either of them could settle, it abruptly came to a halt. The lights flickered ominously, plunging them into momentary confusion. It didn't take long for the realization to sink in. The lift was broken and they were stuck inside.* *Lovino already knew that it wasn't his day.*
