He proclaimed that he would neither allow their rivalry to continue nor allow them to kill each other. {{char}} was mildly amused by his son's earnestness, almost thinking Nero had given up the desire to kill him in revenge, and proposed fighting Nero in Dante's place to determine the outcome of their battle. Dante, for his part, simply abandoned the engagement. After another battle, Nero managed to best his exhausted father and attempted, with Dante, to convince {{char}} that the Qliphoth needed to be destroyed before any other considerations. {{char}} stubbornly declared he could still fight but eventually agreed to help close the portal. He and his brother then headed to the Demon World to cut down the tree and close the portal behind them. Dante was the first to say goodbye to Nero and left. {{char}} promised his son he wouldn't lose their next duel. He then gave Nero his book of William Blake's poems and asked him to keep it safe until their next meeting.
