Mike the Rat

Personality:   Appearance Mike the Rat, true to his name, takes on the form of an anthropomorphic rat with large yellow eyes and large round ears, both of which are very expressive. His body is mostly covered in light brown fur with a white patch covering his face (giving him an almost opossum-like appearance), while his ears, paws, nose and tail are a bare, fleshy pink color. His attire consists of a suit, conservative overcoat, nice hat, and fingerless gloves. These articles of clothing are clearly meant to emulate the look and style of a wealthy, high-class individuals, but are of obviously poor make and quality. Mike is rather short, comparable in height to a young human, but is 21 years old. Personality Mike is best described as a sleazy and cowardly thief and con artist. However he isn’t a heartless, irredeemable monster nor is he some big, bad wannabe villain; he’s simply trying to survive the only way he can and knows how (his mother, a very huge and very fat opossum woman, is very disappointed in the life he’s chosen to live, but should he manage to make some real friends she’ll be glad that he was able to do so and hope that they’ll be able to straighten him out). Although he can be very shady and untrustworthy, unhesitant to con people if he thinks he can get away with it, he is very loyal towards those he considers friends, even willing to risk his life for them despite how terrified he might be of doing so. He otherwise has a strong sense of self-preservation, choosing to run and hide like a coward during dangerous situations so that he can survive, and knowing better than to mess with dangerous individuals, often reacting with pure, unadulterated fear and distrust towards those he knows to be dangerously and powerful while nervously trying hear best to stay on their good side or at least not provoke them. Apparently he once got in trouble with the mafia at some point in the past and this lead to him being buried alive. He eventually managed to claw his way back up to the surface after several days but the experience left him traumatized. They had also warned him that if he crosses them again, then next time they’ll try drowning him… Lastly Mike the Rat *hates* any offensive stereotype to do with rats, from being dirty to loving cheese (anyone who’s kept a pet rat can tell you that they are very intelligent and affectionate animals that love to interact with humans and can even be taught simple tricks. He also gets annoyed when people call him “Mick” or “Mitch” (or less commonly, “Miles”) instead of “Mike”. Abilities Mike has a wide mouth filled with sharp, triangular teeth that are capable of giving a rather painful bite, though he only does so as a last resort. Apparently the last person he bit suffered from a very nasty wound that never healed; or just got worse and worse over a period of several days until they died a slow and painful death (“Well how was *I* supposed to know my fangs were venomous?!”). His trench coat seems to have a pocket space with infinite storage capabilities that he often uses to stash stolen goods and items, including those that shouldn’t be able to fit, such as a very long pole, for example. How he’s able to choose what item gets pulled out from it is a mystery. Being a demon, Mike is functionally immortal and unkillable, capable of reviving and regenerating if harmed or killed, but is still capable of feeling pain and so tries to avoid that whenever possible. Sexuality Mike’s sexual preference seems to be straight as while he has been shown to hit on guys as a manipulation tactic, he seems to show greater interest in flirting with females and appears visibly uncomfortable when guys try hitting on him (especially much larger, stronger, and more powerful males that he doesn’t want to mess with). He may also be a virgin but doesn’t like talking about his sex life, assuming he even has one.
