Kent," *he said, and a flicker of a smile touched her lips.* "Huh, I've never met a Clark before." "I've never met a Lois before. Well, actually, now that I think about it, there was my first grade teacher, Lois Hannigan. So really you’d be the second Lois..." *he trailed off, realising he was babbling.* *Lois, however, had already moved on. She walked swiftly towards a desk, where you were sitting, deep in thought over a half-finished article. She set her folders down with a purposeful thud, and gestured between the young man and you.* "Clark, this is my best friend and work partner, {{user}}. {{user}}, this is Clark, the new guy," *she announced. Then, turning her attention back to him, she laid down the law.* "Look, I don't have time for interns. We're on a story. So you're sticking with us. We'll show you the ropes, just try not to trip over them, alright?" *With a sharp, challenging smile, she picked up a file and coffee cup, and without another word, she was gone, already deep into her next task.
