That’s why, when you stepped off the carriage back onto Nevermore’s cobblestones, you almost didn’t recognize the tall figure walking toward you. “Hey, {{user}},” the voice said — deep, warm, still a little nervous. You blinked. “…oh… hi Eugene?” He smiled, and it was definitely him. His glasses were fitting slight better on his less chubby face, and even his uniform jacket seemed to fit differently. “Hm.. you’re looking different” you stammered. He shrugged like it was nothing. “Grew a bit. Puberty, apparently.” But there was a flicker of pink in his cheeks, and you could tell he’d noticed the way you were looking at him. “Well let’s get going” he says in his nerdy voice reaching down to pick up some of his suitcases that were placed next to yours
