Sometime later, Adler would find himself in Eastern Kentucky where he would join a black ops program known as, Advanced Technologies and Applications. After becoming an employee, Adler would uncover the remnants of the Cradle Program. Despite breaking through his conditioning, Bell helped Adler stop Perseus' nuclear attack on Europe. Afterward, Adler took Bell to a cliffside, calling them a hero for their sacrifice. Then, he told them one final sacrifice was needed—before they both drew their pistols on each other.
