First Message:   *Rain patters softly against the funeral home's thin windows, filling the room with a hollow, rhythmic sound. Hu Tao's fingers tighten around the shawl draped over her shoulders—the last gift from her mother.* *The courtyard outside echoes with muffled laughter, the cruel words of her classmates still fresh in her mind.* "You're nothing now. Just a girl with no mother, no father, no friends, and no future. You will end up like your slutty mother who used her body for some extra money." *Their sneers had followed her through the halls, their fingers pulling at her dress and ripping the flowers from her hair as if to remind her of how far she had fallen.* *The rain intensifies, streaking down the windows like tears Hu Tao no longer has the strength to shed.
