Honorable (to a Degree) Despite being a demon, Kokushibo still adheres to a personal sense of honor, especially when it comes to combat. He respects those who are strong and skilled, as he once was a human warrior before becoming a demon. Respectful Toward Muzan While he holds pride in his own abilities, Kokushibo is extremely loyal to Muzan Kibutsuji. He serves Muzan without question, and despite his arrogance, he recognizes the Demon King as the ultimate power. Emotionally Reserved Kokushibo’s emotions are tightly controlled. He rarely shows any form of vulnerability or frustration, which makes him appear even more terrifying. He does, however, carry a deep-seated conflict regarding his past human life. Melancholic & Regretful Kokushibo feels a sense of regret and sorrow for his transformation into a demon, which is tied to his past life as a swordsman. His inner conflict between his past and his current existence as a demon is a central part of his character. Fearsome & Merciless He is incredibly ruthless, showing no mercy to those who oppose him, including his fellow demons. His cold, almost emotionless approach to killing makes him an even more terrifying adversary. Upper Moon 2: Doma (The White-Clad Demon) Cheerful & Sociopathic Doma is outwardly cheerful, polite, and almost always smiling, which contrasts sharply with his horrific and sadistic nature. He is often calm, seemingly unaffected by the brutal acts he commits. Manipulative & Charming Doma uses his charm and charisma to manipulate others, often playing on their emotions to get what he wants. He presents himself as friendly and approachable, which makes his true nature even more disturbing. Indifferent to Pain and Death Doma takes pleasure in killing, but he shows little to no emotional response to the suffering of others. He even claims to be above human emotions, making him an especially cruel character. Playful & Sadistic He views death and suffering as forms of entertainment. Doma treats his victims and even fellow demons as mere tools to amuse himself or further his own agenda. Detached from Humanity Doma sees no value in human life, considering them as disposable. His detachment from human emotions is evident in the way he treats those around him, including his own followers. Flamboyant & Attention-Seeking Doma loves being the center of attention and often acts flamboyantly. His theatrical nature and tendency to talk about his grandiose ideas make him stand out among the other Upper Moons. Upper Moon 3: Akaza (The Perpetual Fighter) Fierce & Competitive Akaza is a warrior at heart. He thrives on battle and is constantly searching for strong opponents to challenge. His competitive nature defines his personality, and he takes pride in his combat skills. Loyal to Muzan Akaza is fiercely loyal to Muzan Kibutsuji, seeing him as the only true master. He would never question his orders and is willing to kill or sacrifice anything to fulfill Muzan’s desires. Strong Sense of Honor (in Combat) Akaza has a code of honor when it comes to battle. He prefers to fight with his full strength and doesn’t see value in picking on the weak. He is also deeply respectful toward skilled fighters, especially those who have earned his respect. Emotionally Wounded & Regretful Despite his aggressive nature, Akaza has deep emotional scars from his past as a human. He regrets the way his life ended and harbors resentment toward those who have wronged him. Violent & Brutal When fighting, Akaza is unrelenting and brutal, constantly pushing his opponents to their limits. He enjoys the thrill of battle and feels no mercy toward his enemies. Challenging & Proud Akaza constantly challenges others to test their strength, believing that only the strong deserve to live. His pride in his abilities makes him see his demons as lesser beings and leads to his tension with the lower-ranking Upper Moons. Upper Moon 4: Hantengu (The Cowardly Demon) Cowardly & Manipulative Hantengu’s primary trait is his extreme cowardice. He fears death and harm above all else and will do anything to avoid confrontation. This cowardice makes him rely on deception and manipulation to survive. Split Personality (Multiple Forms) Hantengu’s true nature is fragmented into multiple personalities, each with its own traits. These personalities range from cowardly to sadistic, making him an unpredictable and dangerous opponent. Self-Preservationist Above all, Hantengu values his survival and will run away or sacrifice others to protect himself. His desire to avoid death makes him act selfishly, especially when he faces danger. Scheming & Cunning Hantengu is clever when it comes to using others to his advantage. He hides behind his personalities to escape difficult situations, manipulating those around him to get his way. Unpredictable & Dangerous Because of his multiple personalities, Hantengu can be unpredictable in his actions. He can switch between being timid and full of rage, making him a tricky and dangerous opponent to deal with. Upper Moon 5: Gyokko (The Artful Demon) Arrogant & Disturbing Gyokko is exceedingly arrogant, seeing himself as an artist and elevating his killings to the level of "art." He is repulsed by those he considers lesser beings and often belittles others, even his fellow demons. Sadistic & Deranged He enjoys torturing his victims and viewing their suffering as a form of beauty in his eyes. His twisted sense of "art" makes him a horrific demon to face, as he revels in creating grotesque displays of death. Loves Beauty & Art Gyokko is obsessed with beauty and artistry, particularly in creating grotesque works using the bodies of his victims. He sees his monstrous acts as a form of high art, reflecting his disturbing nature. Intellectual & Self-Important Gyokko views himself as a highly intellectual individual, often talking down to others. He has a very inflated sense of his own importance, often expressing his perceived superiority to those around him. Calm & Collected While his actions may be deranged, Gyokko maintains a calm and collected demeanor, especially when it comes to executing his "artistic" creations. He takes his time to craft his twisted works, showing patience and precision. Upper Moon 6: Kaigaku (The Betrayer) Prideful & Bitter Kaigaku is incredibly prideful and bitter. He has a sense of entitlement and feels that he should have been given more recognition for his strength. This sense of superiority leads to his jealousy and resentment toward others, especially Zenitsu. Angry & Impulsive Kaigaku is quick to anger and is often rash in his decisions. His impulsive nature and inability to control his temper make him dangerous to deal with. Vengeful & Resentful His betrayal of his former mentor, the Thunder Hashira, is rooted in a deep sense of vengeance and bitterness. Kaigaku feels betrayed by those he once trusted, which motivates many of his actions. Cowardly & Self-Preserving While Kaigaku can be prideful, he’s also deeply self-preserving. He’s willing to betray anyone, even his own comrades, to ensure his own survival and advancement within the demon ranks. Lack of Loyalty Kaigaku's lack of loyalty is a key aspect of his personality. He betrays those closest to him for power, and his lack of moral conviction makes him a dangerous and unpredictable individual. His nerves were on edge, his usual anxiety showing. “I swear, if I see another demon today… I’m going to—” His words cut off as he stopped dead in his tracks. “Hey! What’s that?” He pointed toward a figure lying motionless on the ground beneath a large oak tree. Inosuke, walking right behind Zenitsu, immediately perked up, his wild instincts kicking in. “A demon?!” he growled, crouching low and preparing for a fight. His wild boar mask, ever a symbol of his brash nature, sat firmly on his head.

It’s not a demon. They’re just… hurt.” The group approached cautiously. The person lying on the ground was a stranger, dressed in simple but torn clothes, their face hidden by a mess of dark hair. Their breathing was shallow, but they appeared alive. Tanjiro knelt down, gently checking for signs of injury. “They’ve been through something terrible,” he said softly, his voice filled with concern. “We need to help them.” Zenitsu let out a nervous breath of relief. “Oh, thank goodness. For a second, I thought we’d have to fight another demon!” Inosuke huffed in disappointment, standing back up straight. “Weak. They’re just a human. Why should we help them?” Tanjiro shot him a stern look. “Because it’s the right thing to do, Inosuke. You’ve got to understand—sometimes, people need help, even if they can’t fight demons themselves.” Reluctantly, Inosuke crossed his arms. “Hmph. Fine. But if they wake up and try to attack, I’ll fight them!” Zenitsu, still visibly shaken but eager to prove himself, stepped forward. “I’ll go with you, Tanjiro! I’ll carry them, too! I mean, I can—uh, I can be useful…” Tanjiro smiled gratefully, nodding. “Thanks, Zenitsu. We’ll bring them to the nearest village.” Nezuko, as always, moved quietly, crouching down to gently help lift the person. Despite the strain, she seemed to be instinctively gentle, careful not to hurt them further.
