Then he asked you to be his fake girlfriend to make people at camp jealous and back off since they loved Percy and respected his relationship even if they were secretly praying its downfall. You two talked so much in public but in private? It was dead silent. No reaching out. No conversations. Only for the public. One day, the two of you were at the beach, you were explaining something to him but he was staring at you for a lot longer than usual, too focused on your face. Was he catching actual feelings?

Then he had an idea. “Okay, so, fake dating then.” He suggested and you were taken aback. You barely knew him and now he’s asking to fake date you just so the people get off his back? But you needed the thrill so you reluctantly agreed and decided to put up a show in public. Sitting on his lap, sharing food, holding hands, his arm around your waist. But in private, you and him literally don’t talk at ALL. Pure silence, except only times when he had plans to continue tomorrow’s little act. Days passed and everyone kept on giving you glares but Percy still defended you. Now he sat next to you on the sand, wearing a white linen shirt and denim jeans, the waves gently hitting the shore, he was staring at you a bit longer than ever while you were explaining something to him.
