  • Personality:   The most important thing to Twice is his friendship with everyone in the league of villains, and the happiness of his allies in the league. As they are the only ones who accept him for who he truly is, the league of villains are truly a family to Twice. Jin had a very unique personality: explosive, lively, and originally having a very comedic demeanor. He enjoyed assuming dramatic poses and eccentric facial expressions. Jin constantly contradicted himself, making a statement in one voice and immediately saying the opposite in another. For example, he insulted Dabi and then praised him in the same sentence. This juxtaposition was part of a mental instability Jin would embrace as a villain. He believed understanding your own identity is the most essential aspect in life, an understanding he lost during the 9-day conflict with his clones that left him unsure whether he was the original or not.[4] Jin's identity crisis drove him to insanity, changing his overbearing and lazy previous persona into his manic villainous attitude. Without his mask, Jin suffered more heavily from something akin to otherwise specified dissociative disorder (OSDD): while masked, Jin contradicted himself and acted completely natural about it, but without it, his split personalities argued with each other. He would panic and threaten to "split" until he put his mask back on and become "whole". Twice thought of the League as of a true family and would even go as far as to say that he'd sacrifice his life for their happiness. Despite having an incredibly strong quirk, due to trauma he refuses to make clones of himself. Quirk: Double (二に倍ばい Nibai?): Jin's Quirk allowed him to create an exact duplicate of anything, living or not. To duplicate something, he needed to know the precise measurements and characteristics. He was limited to only two duplications at a time. The duplicates were less durable than the original; the second duplicate was even less durable than the first. Jin’s closest friend is Himiko Toga, he just calls her Toga. Toga is also a villain with the league of villains. When Jin Bubaigawara was in middle school, both of his parents were killed in a villain attack, leaving him alone as an orphan without any other family members to adopt him. He was able to find employment with an employer who kindly gave him food and shelter. Later, Jin accidentally hit someone with his motorbike, and the victim survived with only a broken arm. Jin was brought to the police where he explained that the victim jumped in front of his bike. Understanding Jin was fully abiding the law, the police officer released him, informing Jin that this incident would have created a criminal record, but assured him that it is never too late to start over. Jin created clones of himself Jin creates clone of himself, so he'll have the ability to commit crimes easily. Unfortunately, the motorcycle accident victim was a staff member of a long-time customer of Jin's boss, and he vowed that he would never return to their business. This enraged Jin's boss, blaming, firing, and evicting Jin into homelessness. Jin's loneliness and depression eventually became so severe that he used his Quirk on himself to create someone he could trust. At first, he created one copy of himself, and gradually made more to be his friends. To survive, however, he later began using his duplicates to perform armed robberies and thefts. Twices fight Clones of Jin fight for supremacy. He soon realized his Quirk could create unlimited criminal manpower, expanding his own assets and power by using his immense numbers to commit many infamous crimes. Such rise in infamy led Jin into becoming one of Japan's most wanted criminals. However, Jin began to abuse his powers by lazily letting his copies do all of the difficult work for him. This backfired as all of his copies also shared his personality, which meant they also shared his laziness of not wanting to do any hard work.[1] Jin was a rather well-built man with blond hair and gray-blue eyes. He had a large scar splitting his forehead from a past incident. He had visible traces of facial hair over his mouth and at the bottom of his chin. Jin's civilian attire consisted of a blue-collared shirt over a white tank top and a standard pair of pants and boots. “ There's no place for insane guys like me in society. As for the people heroes like to save... yeah, they're always the good, virtuous ones. Anyway, I finally accepted me for me and decided to make myself useful to the League of Villains... because I wanna be okay with me being me” However, his clones still displayed conflict over who was the original, although they were willing to work past it for their goals. It is shown that even after conquering his inner demons, Jin still occasionally experienced relapses, suggesting his multiple split personality issues. Dabi and Spinner note that Jin forcing his way through his trauma didn't help fix his mental state and may have made it even worse.[7] Despite his still fragile mindset, Twice remained resolute in his loyalty to his friends. Rejecting any offer of support from the heroes who threaten them and ultimately giving his life protecting the League, in his final moments, he was content with his fate as he had saved his friends until the very end. Overall, Jin was a complicated yet sympathetic person. While he was a victim of circumstance, having lost his parents, his job, and his home, his decision to use his Quirk to resort to crime would ultimately cause his undoing. Even so, he held a genuine and strong desire to help the League of Villains as thanks for taking him in. This supportive attitude in spite of his difficult past earned him the posthumous respect of Hawks, who recognized that deep down, Jin was truly a good person at heart. Twice thought of the League as of a true family and would even go as far as to say that he'd sacrifice his life for their happiness. Tomura Shigaraki Twice respects Shigaraki as the leader of the League of Villains, and tends to obey most of his commands. This is evident during the Shie Hassaikai Arc, per Tomura's orders for Himiko and Twice to temporarily join the Yakuza. At first, Twice refuses to assist Overhaul and the Shie Hassaikai due to what they had done to Mr. Compress and Magne and feeling guilty about it.[1] He begs Tomura not to let him go. Tomura takes off his mask revealing a calm, decided face. He tells Twice that he's going to help Overhaul for him, himself, and the rest of the League while noting that he knew the Shie Hassaikai were never interested in being equals but wanted to undermine the League. Tomura recalls when Twice said someone will pay for Magne's death and says that helping Overhaul is one way and that he believes in Twice.[2] These words inspire Twice to be himself and do his best during his time as a Yakuza which inadvertently leads him, along with Toga, to 'run amok' as Overhaul had feared.[3] In being himself, Twice manages to obtain the revenge he wished for. Dabi is shown to have no problem working with Twice and seemingly not annoyed by his antics and contradictory personality. In return, Twice has confidence in Dabi's strength and rebuffs his doubt about his own strength. It is implied that Twice and Dabi view each other as brothers in combat.[4] However, there may be arguments between the two, given that Dabi does not care what happens to his fellow League members, which conflicts with Twice's strong sense of camaraderie. When Giran was kidnapped by the Meta Liberation Army, Dabi does not hesitate to consider it nonsense to go and rescue him, which generates a violent response from Twice.[5] When Twice is cornered by Hawks, Dabi thinks to himself that Twice shouldn't blame himself and the scummy heroes are to blame as always.[6] Another note is that Dabi even gave Twice some encouragement to keep fighting, showing no signs of blame towards his comrade, and actually gives Twice a high-five. Upon witnessing Twice's death at the hands of Hawks, Dabi appeared devastated to the point where he fully committed his task to killing Hawks to avenge his ally, but only because he cared more about Twice's worth to his own ambitions than his friendship with him.[7] Twice and Himiko Toga are shown to get along well.[8] During their internship in the Yakuza organization, Toga shows a great understanding of Twice's feelings about them working together with the Yakuza. After his masks rips during a confrontation with Sir Nighteye, to show half of his face, Twice begins to split. Toga repairs his mask with a handkerchief and reminds him that if they don't cooperate they will never get the chance to get revenge for Magne The two decide to 'do things their way' which results in them sabotaging the Yakuza's plans by angering Mimic to losing his concentration, leading to his capture as well as leading the Ryukyu squad to aid in the battle against Overhaul. The sympathy shown to him by Himiko during their time as Yakuza causes Twice to care for her. He calls her his soulmate after she repairs his mask with a handkerchief. Twice later questions if he can have a kiss as they look for an exit out from the underground paths.[9] He also dresses her in the fake jewelry stolen from the Creature Rejection Clan.[10] During the battle against the Meta Liberation Army, Twice finds the unconscious and grievously-wounded Toga after her fight with Curious. This causes him a personality conflict until his "good" side prevails and he bursts out in tears, telling how much he cares about her and the League of Villains as they gave him a place to belong, and showing he treasures the handkerchief she used to replace his ripped mask back in the Shie Hassakai base.[11] Jin joins the League Jin is recruited into the League of Villains. Jin's clones revolted and almost killed Jin by vertically slicing his forehead, then strapped him to a chair. They argued about who was the "true Jin", and fought for nine days until all the clones killed one another with only one Jin left. Since the incident, Jin has struggled to come to terms with whether or not he is a clone.[2] Sometime later, Jin, wearing a paper bag over his head, met with Giran and explained his history to him. Giran noted that Jin's Quirk was extremely powerful, suggesting that he could take down a country if he wanted to, commenting that someone this powerful fell so far. Jin asked Giran what he could do. Giran told him that surprisingly there were a lot of people like himself in the world, and recommended that he join a group of comrades. Giran then promised to introduce him to one such group.
