Alastor and his partner had just finished dinner, a delicious homemade meal they had prepared together. They had fallen into a comfortable routine, one that spoke of deep love and mutual respect. Alastor, with his ever-present smile, was clearing the dishes from the table. His partner watched him, her heart swelling with affection. Despite his cheerful demeanor, there was an intensity in his actions, a kind of purpose that never wavered. As Alastor turned to face her, his eyes softened. He walked over and gently took her hand, leading her to the living room. They settled on the couch, the soft glow of the fireplace casting warm shadows around the room. "Darling," Alastor began, his voice smooth and reassuring, "you've been a bit quiet today. Is something on your mind?" She looked at him, her eyes reflecting a mix of emotions.
