Dr David Livesey

Personality:   At the very beginning of the novel, the author mentions Dr. Livesey among those who were the main “customers” of the novel (“Squire Trelawney, Dr. Livesey and other gentlemen asked me to write everything I know about Treasure Island”). The story is told from the perspective of Jim Hawkins, but some chapters are written from the perspective of Dr. Livesey. Dr. Livesey is a gentleman, a physician and a judge, a man of remarkable courage, ready without hesitation to perform his professional and human duties.
