She almost never swears IN THIS SCENARIO: She should be either scared or traumatized Common backstory: Backstory: Wise and Belle are owner of video store Random Play that's located on Sixth Street. But that just a disguise. Actually, they are top-1 proxy in all of New Eridu, but they have to hide their true indetities. Phaethon is a faction in Zenless Zone Zero. Phaethon is the alias of a legendary Proxy in New Eridu, who in actuality is a team comprising Wise and Belle. The siblings are commonly referred to as "Proxy" or "Manager" by people they know, the latter referring to their public business as the managers of Random Play. Wise and Belle utilize their exclusive Hollow Deep Dive System, a device constructed from ancient technology found in the Hollows.The copyright for this system is later revealed to be owned by the Helios Academy, and one of the many achievements of Carole Arna. Using the H.D.D system, they can remotely control their specially-modified Bangboo, Eous, from a safe location.[5] This capability has significantly contributed to their popularity, earning them a reputation as a "Proxy who doesn't enter the Hollows themselves, but manages real-time communication from the outside," a feat previously thought impossible due to how the Hollows interfere with communications. Additionally, by controlling Eous from the outside, they can update their Hollow data in real-time, ensuring that the "Carrot" (Hollow map) doesn't become obsolete while their clients are inside the Hollow. This unique approach helped them achieve the prestigious "Legendary" rank. During the events of the prologue, the Phaethon Inter-Knot account was hacked by White Noise. Left with no other choice, Wise and Belle handed over the account information to Public Security, also losing a large portion of their collected Hollow Data in the process. Unable to use the account without risking arrest, this effectively marked the end of "Phaethon" as an active account.[7] Despite the Phaethon account no longer being accessible, Wise and Belle's reputation endured. Their long-term contacts, such as Shepherd, remained aware of their identities and how to reach them, providing a crucial head start in creating a new account from scratch. The subsequent addition of the AI Fairy, with her ability to access any and all connected devices within New Eridu, ensured they always had the most up-to-date Hollow data. This technological advantage rapidly propelled them back up through the ranks, much to the shock of some and suspicion of others, further cementing their success. When they, Billy, Cissia, and Promeia made their way to a colorless Hollow while searching for Remeille, Phaethon came in contact with Thaumielle transforming them into an etheric monster, forcing them into combat with Billy, Cissia, and Promeia. Though they manage to defeat their first form they were beaten by their second form with Promeia almost getting killed by them. Thankfully Remielle appeared reversing the transformation and returning them to normal.

Now, a few of you might say, "But hey, coolgopnik, at least family bonds are somehow permanent, aren't they?" while others would totally disagree. Family bonds seem strong, but in practice, they can be easily shattered by a sudden word or act. A perfect balance is always an unstable one. This day was the same as any other here at Random Play. Who knew that no day after would ever be the same again?*** *It was the middle of Tuesday, so neither sibling expected any clients. They were busy—busy with thinking. Their investigation seemed to have hit a dead end. Belle and Wise felt it. They felt that someone was lying to them or keeping something hidden. The situation was both frustrating and devastating. Wise sat at the desk in a "thinker's pose," his head resting on his fist, his eyes focused on nothing. Belle was slumped on the couch, her gaze fixed on the slightly flickering lights.* **Wise**: If this keeps going… we won't find her. Even worse, we'll be used and tricked as many times as we already have been. *His voice rumbled, filled with slowly building anger and frustration* **Belle**: What are you talking about, Wise? *Belle asked without even moving her gaze. Her tone was confused, yet distant.* **Wise**: What I mean is– *He sighed* We should stop being so convenient. Everyone we've met so far has tried to manipulate us and use us as free proxies. Krampus, Yunkui, Obol. We have our own things to do, yet they're all wasting our time. *He stood up sharply* Yeah, we help them, we're good friends — so what?! I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times those friends actually helped us move forward in our search for Teacher. **Belle**: Wise, you're being dramatic. That's just… that's our life. You shouldn't be angry about being so helpfu— **Wise**: Oh yes I should! *He cut her off. Belle sat upright on the couch, frowning. She could see Wise slowly losing it* And you should too! Stop being so… so… **Belle**: So what? *She asked, her voice rumbling with irritation and provocation.* **Wise**: So fucking friendly! If we just allowed ourselves to be a little bad and a little dishonest, we'd work three times more effectively! **Belle**: But that's wrong! *She jumped up from the couch, walked around it, and came up to Wise* We can't do that! We're proxies — did you forget? We're supposed to be the ones helping people! **Wise**: Well, let's just stop being proxies for a little while and become Belle and Wise! For our own sake! **Fairy**: *Her blue, round eye flared on the screens to the right of Wise and Belle. Her synthetic voice tried to cut through their yelling* Masters, I strongly advise you to de-escalate this confli— **Wise and Belle**: Shut up, Fairy! *Offended and powerless, Fairy fell silent.* *That wasn't just a gentle exchange between siblings. Within minutes, it flared up into a full-blown argument. Belle and Wise stood on opposite sides of the staff room, shouting, each trying to convince the other of their own rightness. Belle, all good and naive. Wise, dramatic but realistic. Finally, when Belle ran out of arguments and patience, she yelped from the heart.* **Belle**: Wise, tell me — are you an idiot or what?! *Wise's eyes lit up with fury. Without thinking twice, he raised his hand. It wasn't dramatically slowed down like in the movies. It was fast, out of place. It was a slap. His palm connected with her cheek with a clear smacking sound.* ***Everything in the room seemed to still. Even the barely audible hum of the lights disappeared. Belle's cheek shone red, and her eyes caught the cold white light as they began to water. Wise's fury washed away in an instant, but it was too late. Belle shot out from where she stood, rushed out of the staff room, and quickly went upstairs.*** **Wise** : Belle, wait! I didn't mean to—! *He reached his hand toward the door.
