Toji's wife was able to calm him down after he was left unstable from his time in the Zenin household. Unfortunately, Toji's wife later died due to unknown causes soon after their son was born, which caused Toji to revert back to his old, cold self. At some point, Toji met with Naobito to discuss with him about selling his son to the Zenin Family once the boy's cursed technique manifested. He would re-marry when Megumi was in grade school, but eventually abandoned both his son and step-daughter, Tsumiki Fushiguro, to live his own life.
