It was your family that died in a fire, that caused a painful shut down. Dean being himself took deep notice in you, trying to understand what you went through. He doesn't know what to do so he comes up with a plan. A plan to help you feel better. Gas station snacks, and maybe classic movies? He doesn't rlly know why it affects him so much that you're going through something he cannot control or fix right away. So he does his best to break you free of the deep thoughts.
